Deep Wave Hair Price: What 100g Actually Costs

Deep Wave is our best-selling texture, and it is also the cheapest way into human braiding hair at Fula Beauty. But the price you see first — $90 — is not the price most people end up paying, and there is a reason for that worth understanding before you order.

Here is the full picture: what each length costs, what a whole install comes to, and the one limitation you should know about before you fall in love with a color.

The short answer

Length Colors available Price per 100g bundle
12 inches 1b natural black only $90
18 inches All 8 shades $120
24 inches 1b natural black only $150

Every bundle is 100g of 100% human hair, sold as bulk with no weft.

The catch worth knowing before you choose a color

We would rather say this up front than have you discover it at checkout.

The eight shades only exist at 18 inches. That is 1b, 4, 8, 27, 30, 350, 613 and 99J — honey, ash, burgundy, blonde and the rest. If you want 24 inches in anything other than natural black, it does not exist. Same for 12 inches.

So in practice, most color orders are 18 inch bundles at $120. The $90 entry price applies to one variant: 12 inches, natural black.

That is not a trick. It is what we stock. But it changes the maths, so you should have it before you plan a budget.

What a full install actually costs

Nobody buys one bundle and stops. What you pay depends on how full you want the braids, and this is where cheap packs stop looking cheap — a $30 bundle that gets you a quarter of the way there is not a saving.

  • 1 bundle — light boho, a few curly pieces through the braid
  • 2 to 3 bundles — natural volume, what most people choose
  • 4 bundles — very full, the look that makes people ask if it is your hair
Look 12 inch 18 inch 24 inch
Light boho (1) $90 $120 $150
Natural volume (2–3) $180–$270 $240–$360 $300–$450
Very full (4) $360 $480 $600

Free US shipping starts at $200, so two 18 inch bundles or three 12 inch bundles get you there.

Why it costs more than the $30 bundles

Let us be direct, because it is the real question.

Marketplace listings selling 100g of human braiding hair for $25 to $40 are everywhere. Some of it is genuinely human hair. Much of it is a blend, or hair processed heavily enough to behave like fiber after the first wash. There is no reliable way to tell from a listing photo — which is exactly why the category is full of complaints.

What you are paying for here:

  • 100% human hair, not a blend and not "human-feel" fiber
  • A true 100g per bundle — worth checking elsewhere, because some packs marketed as 100g are two 50g bundles
  • Eight shades that were dyed to match each other, so blending 27 with 613 works instead of clashing
  • It takes color and heat like your own hair, because it is hair
  • A named business behind it — Fifi Biteye, 20 years of braiding and sew-ins, with a working salon in Ridgeland, Mississippi

When Italian Curl is the better buy

Our Italian Curl is $120 for 18 inches — the same price as Deep Wave at that length. The difference is the curl, not the cost.

Deep Wave has a deeper, more uniform S-wave. Italian Curl is a rounder, springier curl with more bounce. Neither is better; they photograph differently and feel different in the hand.

One practical difference: Italian Curl comes in natural black only. So if color matters, Deep Wave is the one. If you want the springier pattern and black is what you wanted anyway, Italian Curl is worth a look — we broke down its pricing in Italian Curl Hair Price.

And if you are still deciding between textures, we laid them side by side in Braiding Hair Textures Compared.
