What a full install actually costs
Nobody buys one bundle and stops. What you pay depends on how full you want the braids, and this is where most price comparisons fall apart — a $30 pack that only gets you a quarter of the way there is not cheaper.
Our own guidance, based on what our braiders see in the chair:
- 1 bundle — light boho, a few curly pieces through the braid
- 2 to 3 bundles — natural volume, the most common choice
- 4 bundles — very full, the look that makes people ask if it is your hair
So a realistic full install runs:

Why it costs more than the $30 bundles
Let us be direct about this, because it is the real question.
Marketplace listings selling 100g of human braiding hair for $25 to $40 are common. Some of it is genuinely human hair. Much of it is a blend, or hair that has been processed heavily enough to behave like fiber after the first wash. There is no reliable way to tell from a listing photo, which is exactly why the category is full of complaints.
What you are paying for with Italian Curl:
- 100% human hair, not a blend and not "human-feel" fiber
- A true 100g per bundle — worth checking, because some packs marketed as 100g are two 50g bundles
- It takes color and heat like your own hair, because it is hair. Several of our customers dye theirs before installing

What Italian Curl does not give you
We would rather tell you this before you order than after.
Italian Curl comes in one color. Natural black, 1b. If you want honey, burgundy, ash blonde or a two-tone blend, this texture will not do it. Several customers have told us the same thing in their reviews, and they are right.
It comes in two lengths. 18 and 24 inches. Nothing shorter, nothing longer.
