Most brands quote their best review and move on. We would rather show you the whole picture, including the parts that are not flattering — because a page of five-star quotes tells you nothing you could not have guessed.
Here is what 220 verified reviews actually say about our bulk braiding hair.
The numbers
| Product | Reviews | Rating |
|---|---|---|
| Deep Wave | 167 | 4.9 |
| Italian Curl | 46 | 5.0 |
| Wet & Wavy | 7 | 5.0 |
These are collected by Loox after purchase, from people who bought the product. Counts move as new ones come in, so the figures on the product pages are always the current ones.
What reviewers agree on
Three things come up again and again, across all three textures.
The hair is soft out of the pack. This is the single most repeated observation, by some distance. "Softest hair I've ever purchased." "So soft coming out the pack and installing it was a breeze." "It felt like human hair" — which sounds odd until you have been sold fiber described as human.
Shipping is fast. Mentioned constantly, often with surprise. "The hair came very quickly. Within 2 days of ordering." "It arrived a week before my appointment." One customer ordered at 4am four days before an international trip and got it in time.
Braiders notice it. A recurring pattern is the stylist commenting during the install. "My Braider said this is the best human hair she ever used to do boho Knotless." "This hair was easy to manipulate, soft and dipped well." Several reviews come from braiders buying for clients.
Where reviewers disagree: shedding
This is the honest part, and it is the reason we wrote this page.
Most reviews say the hair does not shed. A minority say it does. Both are in our review feed, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
On one side:
"Hair is soft, no shedding, frizzing or tangles." — Tina M.
"Minimal shedding and not extreme." — Tiffani R.
On the other:
"It does shed. When it is time to come out it is hard to manage." — Keamesha
"There is some shedding, which is expected for any hair so it is manageable." — Rebecca M.
We are not going to tell you which experience you will have, because we do not know. What we can say is that the industry standard claim — "no shedding" — appears on nearly every braiding hair listing you will find. It is not a differentiator, and on our own product our reviewers do not all report the same experience.
Two other things worth knowing
Colour can run on the first hot rinse. One reviewer noted that dipping in hot water made some dye come off at first. If you are dipping, rinse in cool water first and expect a little run on the deeper colours.
Curl pattern varies between bundles. One Italian Curl buyer wrote: "It have more of deep wave and not Italian curl." She ordered again. But if the exact pattern matters to you, order one bundle first and see it in your hands.
Why we publish this
Because you can find a hundred braiding hair pages promising no shedding, no tangling and months of wear, and you have no way to tell which are true. We would rather give you the range of real experiences and let you judge.
It also means that when we do state something — 100% human hair, 100g per bundle, eight shades at 18 inches — you can weigh it against the fact that we did not hide the rest.
