What the texture actually does
Dry, it sits as a loose to medium wave. Wet, the pattern draws up and tightens noticeably. People either love that or find it unpredictable, and it is worth knowing which you are before you commit to a full head.
Two practical consequences:
- The length reads shorter when wet. A tighter pattern takes up more of the length. This is normal and it relaxes as it dries.
- It suits people who swim or train. The texture is doing what it was chosen to do rather than being knocked out of shape.

A note on what this texture is not
There is a lot of content online about "wet and wavy" that is really about weaves and wigs rather than braiding hair. If you searched that phrase and landed here expecting a sew-in, the product you want is a wefted bundle, not bulk.
