A frontal or a closure is not a wig. It is the piece that covers your leave-out and gives you a parting, and it is bought alongside bundles rather than instead of them. That distinction catches a lot of first-time buyers.

Note the closure starts shorter — 12 inches — and runs slightly higher at the top end. That is not a mistake: the closure range extends further in both directions.
Frontal or closure
13x4 frontal runs ear to ear across the front of your head. It gives you a full hairline, so you can part anywhere along it, wear the hair pulled back off the face, or do a deep side part.
5x5 closure covers a five-by-five inch area at the crown. Enough for a middle part or a fixed side part, and nothing more.
The decision is behavioural, not aesthetic: if you wear the same part every time, a closure does the job. If you like changing it, or wearing the hair up and back, you want the frontal. We went deeper on that in 13x4 Frontal or 5x5 Closure?
What else you need
This is the part people miss. A frontal or closure covers the front or crown — the rest of the head is bundles.
For a full sew-in you will typically need the frontal or closure plus three bundles, sometimes four on longer lengths. That means budgeting well beyond the $120 to $160 on this page.

Matching the texture
Four textures are available in both formats — Deep Wave, Body Wave, Straight and Italian Curl. Buy the frontal and the bundles in the same texture and the same length band, or the blend at the parting will show.
One thing to know: our frontals and closures are natural black only. If your bundles are a colour, the closure will not match, and colouring lace-mounted hair is not something to attempt casually.
Length works differently here
A frontal is usually bought shorter than the bundles behind it, or at the same length. Buying a frontal longer than the bundles serves no purpose — the extra length has nothing to blend into.
If your bundles are 22 inches, a 20 inch frontal is a normal pairing.
